Hello my beautiful souls!

Another week another opportunity for growth! Hope you've started your week strong, filled with excitement and joy. I know that this may not be the standard for most of the people, yet I don't know why this wouldn't be a standard for ourselves.

You've probably heard me saying often that we choose how we want to live our lives. We set the standard of what we tolerate and what we want to achieve. I know for myself that I have high standards about how I want to feel and the level of excitement I feel for my work. However, I also know that sometimes it seems easier to lower the standard and convince myself that I'm fine, than actually stepping up and doing something about it.

Today I want to share with you the method that I use to make sure that I'm keeping up with my standards. It's very simple but super efficient.


It is a must for me to stay accountable to myself and check every week how things are going. I do regular small checks weekly and a bigger one (it usually takes me a day or two) every 3 months. The crucial question I ask myself is: Do you know where you want to go (with your career/business/life)?

Why is this important?

So often we set our /goals in the beginning of the year and then forget about them. The only way to actually constantly work towards them is to remind yourself what is it that you want. Once you know exactly what you want, you can set the intention every week to get a little closer to that goal. Your brain will automatically help you with ideas of what you can do to bring yourself closer. But it all starts with knowing where we actually want to go.

"If you don't know where you want to go... you'll never arrive there!"

Every week I spend a short hour to observe what I did last week, what went good, what could be improved and what is the intention for the following week.

Every 3 months I spend few days on reflecting back to the past months and envisioning my future months. I use the amazing exercise named Kylego by Kyle Cease with which I project myself to the moment 3 months from now and I begin to tell the story: "I remember 3 months ago when..." - I say whatever comes to my mind.

You literally come up with a story of how your life will look like in 3 months and what happened within this period. The exercise can be done for small periods of time as well. For example, when you have a presentation in front of a big crowd and you want to calm your nerves - you can project yourself to the moment when the presentation has already finished and start explaining how it went and how you feel now.

When it comes to accountability, it really helps to have an accountability buddy - someone that you can tell how the week went and do the strategic plan for the next week. This is a big part of coaching as well. My mentees would agree that this is a crucial element for success.
